President of the Maldives Mohamed Nasheed claims that the bold leadership of President Rajapakse is not only an example to Sri Lanka but to the entire world. As a state leader, he said he fully appreciated President Rajapakses was confident of a better future for Sri Lanka due to the programme mooted by the Government headed by the President. Sri Lankans experienced hardships due to the war for 30 years. The Sri Lankan Government had been able to take forward civil society and the economic front on an equal footing. It is an uphill task. When compared with Latin American countries embroiled in a war, Sri Lanka is in the forefront. President Rajapkses leadership is a fitting example to the people of the island.
