US Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher is upbeat about SAARC leaders raising a common voice against terrorism during their Summit. Addressing a news conference in Colombo, Mr. Boucher said he considered the participation in the Summit representing his country, as a significant occasion. Sri Lanka is engaged in a battle against terrorism and the people are making enormous dedications on behalf of future security. It is a fitting example to other countries. US has extended unwavering support to these dedications. He reminisced the action initiated by the United States to blockade routes supplying illegal weapons to the LTTE. Tiger satellite services within America had been banned. The US Government has expressed its acclamation to Sri Lanka for liberating the East from the terrorists and enthroning democracy. His country had given unstinted support for economic development in Sri Lanka. He assured that this cooperation will continue. There will be no changes to US support for the dedication of Sri Lankans to safeguard their sovereignty within a unitary country. Mr. Boucher expressed his wishes to the President and the Government on behalf of the successful conduct of the 15th Colombo Summit
